Patrick Cheechoo has been painting for over 35 years and loves to tells stories about his family, culture and life on the land through his art; additionally, his love for birds can be seen through both his paintings and photography.
Mr. Cheechoo’s storytelling extends to his stand-up comedy. Laughter and Indigenous life have always come hand in hand, which naturally got me into comedy and storytelling. This passion of my life serves as a reminder that humour has been a part of us since creation and I am honoured to bring a smile to all!
Meegwetch and Waciiye.
