Wachay!
I take great pride keeping my family warm with clothes that I learned how to make from my grandmother. I enjoyed learning by watching her sew moccasins, hats, and mitts. My mom & aunts learned from her as well and in turn helped me in my own learning.
Three finger bear paw gloves are useful when working with an axe, shovel or gun on the land. This design has come from the elders and I do enjoy making this one. The workers of the family really do find this design useful, warm, and cozy.
I am beginning to add beading to my designs and am enjoying the journey so far. The art of clothes making is one that we Mushkego people have aways been good at and will continue to be as long as we keep working at it!
